Bowing to pressure from civil society and members of the ruling coalition, the state government on Friday decided to postpone the public hearing on the Coastal Zone Management Plan (CZMP) and directed the National Centre for Sustainable Coastal Management (NCSCM), Chennai, to incorporate suggestions from public representatives and submit the plan again.
